I heard Transport Service Co. keeps you out 2 weeks...Hubby was with Maverick and they had him home all but 2-3 weekends a year.

Was wondering if you could give me some more information on this company. I applied on line up here in NC and the terminal manager acted like he got pissed off cause I filled out an application before calling a terminal to see if they were hiring. Then he said they weren't hiring right now but are always looking for qualified candidates, whatever that is supposed to mean, cmon, your either hiring or your not. Is this company worth the hassel to get on with, pay seems good however all gas haulers up here make 50000 or more per year no matter who you drive for. Also what are their trucks governed at 62mph ? I heard that from Florida up towards South Carolina they have had like 4 or 5 tankers turned over this year, 3 by guys with more than a million miles safe driving.

Here in Chas. SC our trucks are governed at 65 mph. As far as getting hired on, it definitely takes patience. It took them 4weeks after I filled out app to get a phone call to find out if I was still interested.

    KRAKAJACKJONSON Thanks this.

I guess patience will be the key. If your paid percentage how do you make any money with a 65mph truck, loaded it's fine, but could use a little more speed coming back empty. Also do you get your own truck or does someone drive yours when you get back to the yard ? Thanks again for your imput.

What difference in speed is gonna matter when your running local loads?? You make time delivering gas by being efficient loading and unloading. One red light will kill your extra couple mph..lol.
One thing about Eagle nobody mentioned is, your guaranteed 800 a week for the first 90 days after training while you get your rhythm
