IDK man I have to agree with Pusher, it depends on what you're looking for... I ran my first team situation with them. At the time I was there (2yrs ago) they (Henderson) were really messed up. The old man had just left the daily op with Josh and I think he was working with other industry managers to try to change their business model. We went from 68 mph to 62 then they cut the horsepower and limited the rpms for 9th gear just like Prime, Crete and all those training companies do which make you a slow moving target on the roads today. I don't think they have reset the trucks back to normal operation because I'm always passing them like they're standing still.
Second issue we had was multiple pick ups which could take two days of driving around Salinas to get loaded, sometimes as many as 6 or 7. Then we'd start running and because they had so much late freight due to poor planning they would want us to hook up with another team hand the load off and go deliver (live unload) their load and start all over again. We just simply couldn't get enough miles to make it worth our while to stay. I know the entire driver base complained about poor planning and short miles, but again that was 2 yrs ago. A lot can change in two yrs.
I know the company I'm with now is hiring down in Texas right now, we run 68. We drive Volvo 780's and Petes, they're replacing the Pete's with air ride Cascadias very soon. We average, as a team, 5k a week. We're hoping to bump that up to 6k. That's of course miles btw. It's a no drama company, which Henderson wasn't. I don't know anything about Tango but one thing I do know. When drybox freight drys up a bit in winter we stay pretty steady on refer. For what its worth...
I think all companies have their goods and bads, just a matter of what you're willing to put up with. I've been out here 10 yrs, I'm a professional and tend to hold my company to a higher standard. Have no tolerance for disrespect or unprofessional company contacts. I'm out here to make money and drama is a waste of time and money so, it's taken 10 yrs but I think I finally have a good match. If you're interested send me a pm and I'll give you the contact info if you want. Either way good luck hope you find a good match. -
Good Luck Spring, I missed your last post here. Let us know how it goes. See ya on the road...

I've hauled and dealt with all the meat and produce (and the 15 million stops that tend to come with each of those commodities half the time) that I care to deal with for one lifetime. Now that I'm accustomed to most of my loads being drop & hook, I would not want to go back to killing myself just so I can be at a grocery warehouse for a live unload at 6am the next morning all because the planners have never heard of hours of service and think my truck can run 100mph. It's never been like that at all with a dry box.

Yep, Like I said good luck to ya.
