I have been with them for about 2.5 years. They are ok, pay is decent, miles are decent, getting lots of newer trucks and trailers.
They do a have training program for recent graduates. It is fairly lengthy, I think at least 60 days with a trainer. I am not positive on that one, but I know it is long. I believe you and your spouse will have to go into separate trucks though, I don't think that you will be able to train together. Not sure about pay for you as new drivers.
We had a couple of really slow months, but things are picking up again. We seem to have picked up a bunch of new freight, that even I as a company solo driver am staying very busy.
Teams will do lots of Con-Way and now Fedex runs, which are time sensitive.
All their trucks have APU's so staying warm or cool is not an issue in those States where idling is strongly discouraged. They are finally getting rid of those coffin sleeper trucks, there are a bunch of them sitting in the yard with all the lettering removed, just ready to be traded in. There were also some new trucks sitting there. Nice, Thermoking APU's rather than Carrier.
They have a great pet policy with an affordable deposit. I paid 300 for my dog, it was taken out in installments.
They are currently in Salem, IL but this Monday, Valentines day part of their operations and shop will move to Caseyville, IL right outside of St. Louis.
For specific pay info and about the possibility of being trained and driving team with your wife you will have to call them, since I came here as an experienced driver.
I hope this helps you some. Search this site about them, there are a couple of other threads about them.Last edited: Feb 13, 2011
