Hey Lipweed, Let me know how it goes for you. Are you going to work for them as solo or team? I hear they cater to there team drivers & if your a new solo you will get jerked around a lot. I talked to a guy last night that has been working for them for about 2 months & he told me as soon as he gets back to Salem he is turning his truck in, he told me that company sucks bad & the ole timers told him that it was once a good company to work for, but since the owner turned over the company to his son things have just went down hill. Took a lot of there fuel stops away recently & also took some perks away that went with there fuel cards, seems like they are trying to pay for there new trucks & trailers & screw the drivers. I was told they are hiring a lot of new drivers & have no trucks to put them in & are forcing teams. EC

    All I can say is

    STAY AWAY STAY FAR AWAY.....

I almost went to work there until I talked to a few of their drivers and saw that a few lived close to me that drove for them.. On a good week (now this is an average) mind you. Most were dam lucky to gross 600 a week before taxes,

Better google AMERICAN WORKER INSURANCE also thats a complete joke. Its not insurance its a discount plan with NO MAJOR MEDICAL I dont know your situation but I talked to one guy that made like 350 bucks one week doing the sitting for 3-4 days and the 25 bucks per day is after 24 plus 12 and does not go retro back. so you give up first 36 to get 25 in 48 if that makes since so basically 25 bucks for 2 days sitting .. talk about cheap labor..

I looked at the equipment IT IS TOP OF THE LINE.. But dont choose a company based on a truck you will end up not happy at all.. in the end look at the benefits etc.. not a good deal and 38cpm and I got 10 yrs plus holly $$$$$

there are better outfits out tere is all I am saying I did allot of research on them I suggest you do to and not just this board. hit the truck stops count the trucks sitting

they say 53% turnover with 500 trucks and they bring in 15 per week do the math thats 105% plus in 52 weeks and right at 100% at 50 weeks just do your research

    good luck..

I work for Henderson. I normally drive team, but due to an injury my co driver is sitting at home until he gets better.

I hate the place. The most disorganized bunch I have E V E R worked for. I have no choice right now, but we are looking.

Forced dispatch, if you are teaming lots of Con-Way loads, which don't really even give you the time to go to the bathroom, much less shower and eat.

Be prepared to sit. Due to the circumstance I have tried to stay east. I volunteered for any load going east. I loaded Tuesday 11 days ago in Ohio, to deliver in Oklahoma on Thursday evening. They made me drop that load in the Salem Yard, and pick up another, to take to Loveland, CO by Denver, since it would be more miles. True in theory, but, after getting there Thursday evening I sat around till noon on Saturday, to be told in order to move I would have to go west. I had put in for home time to start Monday, and figured, hey, I will just be home a couple of days late.

Rather than sit around two more days, I headed to Chico, CA and delivered a day early, on Monday morning, and was told to head to Santa Nella. Sat the rest of Monday, and most of Tuesday. Got a load that picked up late at night in Castroville, got loaded at close to midnight, stayed the rest of the night and headed out in the am.

Had to swap with a team, since I couldn't make delivery on time, early Friday afternoon by Chicago.

Sat around till Thursday and finally got dispatched to pick up in Bakersfield, and head to St. Louis. I finally got home late last night, almost a week late for home time.

From Thursday evening last week, until Wednesday evening I sat more than I drove, didn't touch 1500 paid miles, and missed on being home for my own birthday, because no matter what, I wasn't going to get home what I put in for.

You go west, you will sit. There is never enough freight to get you out of Denver or Northern California.

You would think they would get on the horn, and start making fresh contacts to keep the trucks rolling, but no, they rather you sit.

So, have fun, and drive their "first class" equipment, which translates into bare bones freightliners.

Hey Lipweed did you make it out on the road yet with Henderson? Wow seems like Sabine is really having a lot of fun working there. Anyway I ran into a driver that worked for them the other day & he told me a driver went home for Christmas & took his truck to Salem to get it serviced & when he came back his truck was sent out with another driver. Now he is sitting at home cause they keep telling him they have no trucks. So Sabine you better take note & not turn your back on them, I guess things are really getting bad out there.

Well, we were all set to go someplace else, but my codriver got hurt, and while he is working on getting better, I am staying put. I don't want to change jobs now, not while we don't know what is happening.
