I worked there in'05/'06. About the best company I ever work for, did Ca./Az. Home every weekend. Made .41 cents. But, I've heard things have changed. They did do OJ loads out of Fla, so, living in the S.E. is a possibility. Hays is a sister company, dry van, but will pull Henderson loads (refer, dry). Just one shop, Salem,Il. They do produce up the ying-yang and McDonalds distribution and some Grocery place in St.Louis (drop/hook).

my dispatcher was apparently an ex driver i find that hard to believe
i sat in salm for 6 days was told i was offered loads and was notbut if your leasing a truck like i did the payments still have to be made
hays is the sister company but they are just dry van hend is reefer they pull each others trailers n loads
henderson is basically going under by the way they are running their bussiness they had 35 drivers quit in one day in 09 that was a few weeks before i quit -
i would avoid henderson trucking they give you the miles but all of that miles goes straight to the truck payments and diesel fuel plus when your at the yard they always make you take your truck into the shop plus if they put you in pontoon beach illinois they make you sit for over a week or if your lucky they'll send you to hopkinsville kentucky right above clarksville tennessee so i would stay away from them

I See They No Longer Have A Website. If Not I Can't Find It.

We've worked for Uncle Earl for a total of 10 years. Not all at the same time. But we will finish out our driving with them. They have treated us decent. We are averaging 4800 to 5200 miles per week. As you can tell, I drive team. We haul a lot of Conway loads and if you want to and are able, you can run those loads back to back. The miles really add up on those. Of course, you'd be screaming for time off after a couple of weeks of that
. Our dispatcher, Bill, bends over backwards to keep us running and we do our best to help him out when needed. As far as pay goes-I know with the economy the way it is, they've dropped their base pay. We make 47 cpm, but I think the solo's start out at 36? But don't hold me to that. And we've never had a paycheck bounce!
Baack Thanks this. -
dont even take a pontoon beach load unless your preplanned because you'll get stuck their for 3 weeks

I have to say, things have changed. I have been running my rear end off, so much so, that I am WAY busier than I want to be. Over 3000 miles a week, every week. If I had space on my logbook left, they would run me more.
Their website is found under Henderson Trucking.
New driver pay stinks, it is less than those of us make who have been there a while.
I have to say that Bill is awesome. I had him for 9 months, most of those as a solo, and he never let me down. If you are going there as a team, he really takes care of you.
I just looked on their website, and it just says to call recruiting for what they offer. So I don't know what they do offer for a new driver.
I have been dispatched by Gail (head of dispatch) for a while until I got a new dispatcher, and since then I am running like crazy. I have driven more since the beginning of the year than I normally do in a quarter.
So if their payscale is ok, at this time I have to say we are busy.
As a single you will get sucked into the Chicago loop once a month or so, and it does stink. But, we all got to do it at times. It's all short haul, but for the most part drop and hook.
They do have a lot of trailers floating around out there, so at least half of our freight is drop and hook.
Hope this helps.packerfan11 Thanks this. -
Well what's new at Earl's ?? I hear just about everyone has a brand new E box in there truck & also if things are so great there, how come there is about 40 to 45 trucks sitting in there lot right now?? I hear more trucks will be turned in very soon & Fat Boy Mike (lease mgr) is just getting Fatter
-
What is an 'E' box? Also, there aren't 40 to 45 trucks in the yard right now. And what does Mike's weight have to do with the price of tea in China? Henderson is like a lot of other trucking companies-if you want to work you will and if you want a free ride and/or a easy job you had better go to work for the Democrats, lol. I'm not saying that there aren't some problem drivers or dispatchers, but the bottom line is this-without drivers a company will cease to exist and then all those people whom you seem to think are out to get rich on the backs of the drivers will be broke also.
