Packerfan they LOVE teams there. Put it to you this way. Get ready to RUN. I had a couple tries there at team running and even I was like sorry I need a break from running. The weeks I did team it was nothing for me to get 7000-7800 miles in a week. Think 2 rounds to the West coast that was what I did.

while the wife and i were there we could bring home 3000.00 a week after expenses, mostly running con-way.

Well I guess you haven't read anything I have posted about Henderson, Good Luck to you & your partner. Just don't let Fat Boy Mike talk you into leasing a truck for 500 or 600 a week, they will give you good miles for 2 or 3 months & then they will start going down & you will be at there mercy & in a trap like a animal. Thought of the day, if there so good why is there turn over rate for drivers 300 percent?

I don't know how current and first hand some of the info given here is. I work at Henderson. I know they are far from perfect. Some of the things they do want to make me cry. This time of year is slow, heck Christmas is only 2 weeks away. It always gets slow in December. I may not have 30 years experience, but unless I did the FedEx thing or the like, it is slow around Christmas.
I get enough miles to pay my bills. Some weeks are better than others. Anything breaks it gets fixed, well sometimes on the second try, but I never had issues getting things fixed. The pay is generally right, yeah mistakes get made, but payroll is just human too. I get home when I need to, even as far as deadheading me way more than I would do were it my truck, just to make sure I get home.
The one place they stand out, if there is an emergency, or you get sick, they support you. One of my friends got sick a couple of years ago, wound up admitted to the hospital out in Ft. Collins, CO. When he was released they sent a team to get him, one to drive his truck, the other one driving their truck. They took him home, to his house. When he got better, he came back to work, just had to catch up on his health insurance payments and no questions asked.
There was a time things were way bad, last year Spring thru the end of the year. I still made money. But things were bad for a lot of companies.
There is no perfect job, you just have to figure what you can and can't live with. I like that I can both call and walk in and people know me by name. I can go talk to anyone face to face, no bullet proof glass and locked doors. My dog gets to travel with me, he is a welcome part of my family.
I would not lease a truck.....anywhere. I know teams that do well leasing. Solos maybe not so much so. I do see the lease drivers getting loads faster than I do as a company driver.
So, no matter what, no job is perfect. I know there are better ones, but having a dog makes my selection limited and for me they are ok.thedrifter Thanks this. -

Good for you two. Hope things work out for you again. I am in truck 2609, maroon Columbia. Just look for the Golden Retriever in the drivers seat at the yard.
