Sort of disagree, why? read post eight.

This is the reason why many small companies can't deal with the capacity on demand of the customer, a small company that has an arrangement of regular freight for one delivery can do it but most shippers don't deliver to one or two spots all the time.

In the situation that you are describing, 8 to 10 may be a good fit but the op is talking about 1 to 3.

    Agreed.

My scenario works for 1-3 as well. Basically the 1-3 becomes an in house carrer, while the Prime, & Jb Hunt’s of the world are brought in for the over flow. That was how the flower company i used to work for Operated, they used Prime & Florida Beauty. Then there is 3 nursery’s in the local area that do the same. The one i do work with uses Mercer for what his “guys” can’t/won’t cover. He also has a real bottom feeder company from not far up the road who he ends up giving most of his NYC work.

Of course sometimes “us guys” go into the city. Lol
