Anyone know of a decent company looking for an O/O to do Nova Scotia to Ontario turns? Been local for the last couple years and its driving me crazy, really dont want to start running south again. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Have dry, reefer, flat experience, but I'm past the 62 mark and just had a bout with colon cancer so tarping would probably be out, tho roll tite would be ok. I have my own plates, insurance etc etc. Would look at purchasing a trailer for the right scenario.

I will be completely honest with you regarding work from the East Coast to Ontario. I run my own Authority and mainly get 3 or 4 weekly brokers asking for Dry van freight from Ontario to Dartmouth and Halifax, NS. However, others have been tri axle reefer loads as of late due to the season and with zero reloads back. Steady lanes from the East to Ontario has been the biggest struggle ever sincd tariffs started escalating since May. I've been running from NS or NB going to CT, RI & NJ (I try to avoid NJ because of the traffic congestion). 80% are usually partical LTL Loads later circling back from Albany, NY for a return reload. Canada's infrastructure isn't domestically setup in anyway especially now with tarriffs I've found due to demographics density. Extremely similar to freight running from SK to ON and an over saturated lane of Winnipeg to the GTA. My down weeks have always been these lanes because of the difficulties are unsustainable. Unfortunately, I'd recommend to run through NY, PA to ON back to NS for your final return because the truck stops in NS especially in Enfield, NS (Irving) on a Sunday and sometimes Monday are packed with independences. Only seemed to be mainly the contracted ones who still have steady loads running back to ON.

Kinda what I thought. Enfield never use to be so full as it is now early in the week. Seen guys sit there for days not moving. May just try to stick it out doing what I'm doing for now, or get my US stuff in order and start that racket again.
