East coast sucks, all congested, laws are made by leftist liberals, unGODly expensive TOLL$, not trucker friendly, communist gun laws, and little parking, 4wheelers are generaly A Wholes with a death wish whilst behind the wheel.

Kaliphornia sucks, all congested and laws are made by leftist liberals, not trucker friendly, no idling, communist gun laws, and this state doesnt deserve jack slit from us. An honest mistake that is irrelavnt to public safety can cost a driver $1,000 so to line the coffers of a bankrupt state.

Personaly I dont run these places anymore as I only do Wis to Fla and back, but to try and answer the question, I think the ideal box to run is roughly Idaho to Florida to N Carolina to Minnesotta back to Idaho and/or anywhere inside that box....provided the money is there, and some of these place are admitadly seasonal, I know.

I can see where having to stop for tolls and weigh station would have put a serious cramp in our style over the last several weeks I been out here training, especially the tolls. It's nice to sail right by them or just slow down through them. I love hearing those little beeps just before the weigh stations too!!

Hubby's map does not have the east coast or the west coast on it. Florida does not count as the east coast. My atlas would be about the same if I was still out there.

East coast sucks anywhere from Washington D.C. area over to Philly, all the way up to Connecticut, including new york city. That place is the worse, besides that and the ungodly toll prices over there it isn't that bad. An if you're company won't let you run the toll in PA then you get to travel some of the oh so lovely state highways through there, can be interesting at times. I love upstate new york and western new york, beautiful place. West coast, the states are a lot bigger than the east coast so it takes a bit longer to get places, wyoming sucks in the winter always closing the road down, crappy road conditions, lots of blowing snow. California around the L.A. area sucks, lots of traffic, but upstate Cali is awesome I love it around Sacramento and south, San Francisco sucks for big trucks. Each side has its perks and downfalls, but if I had a choice I would run west coast dedicated in a heart beat over east coast.

Everyone knows that California has the high dollar freight. That's why the east coasters keep coming here.:biggrin_25525:Not to mention the produce side of it.......

Give me ezpass and pre pass and I'll do NYC any day! That's where I made my money. I can get around NYC with no problem plenty of parking if you know how to read! There is plenty of good paying freight from the city west and south heading as far west as Ca IF you like going to that broke arsed state!. Yes they have anti idling laws but an APU takes care of that problem and they aren't as stupid as kommieforinia about the APU having to be CARB compliant!

Screw the Not so gold coast! High fines stupid idling laws even if you have an APU! And you'll NEVER see any speeds over 55 over there! The wait time for produce can be stupid and so can some of the unload times around LA and south!

FL. I never go further south than Ocala as there is no freight and what you can find is way to cheap! Not even enough to pay fuel costs as for some stupid reason the moron brokers call freight 'back hauls" It's not a back haul moron it's a load going who knows where! Go no further south than Ocala and you can dead head back to Jacksonville and GA and freight!

The mid west is just fine. Except Chicago! Now that place is traffic hello! Well they did get 294 fixed with the rebuild of the tolls and ezpass but 55,57, and 94 still suck unless they've been updated since Aug 09 my last time through there! And of course you have Big A in GA but I grew up there and know how to go around that place!

But my favorite delivery area will always be NYC. I'll always find freight going there because of those drivers with the I don't do NYC attitude forgetting all about the hazard pay and drop pay for those multi drops! All I hear is cha ching when I get that dispatch!Besides in the winter it's the women have to dress to impress so it's always leg check city and besides a ride on the subway is even better!$2.50 is a great price for the entertainment value!
