I drove by their facility last week and noticed they had at least 10 reefers sitting, maybe more, did not see any trucks but that means nothing as I was going east and they are on the west side of I20. They were a team only outfit i am thinking.I have no idea if they use solo drivers now.At one time I believe that their trucks would run 75 mph or so.that was a few years ago.The drivers that I have run up on ALWAYS were in the middle lane as if the truck was something special, were pete 379 extended hoods-don't know what they use now.Perhaps the drivers think highly of themselves and see no need to yeild to a faster truck. I put it in the left lane and went on and they stayed in the middle lane.
Triple R or RRR trucking out of calhoun,ga. has drivers that drive like that too.
Yeah i do have an attitude towards drivers that are so special that they stay put in that middle lane, even when their truck is maxxed out speed wise, dripping in chrome and chicken lights, shiny hiney and clean truck.Ok.that driver running teams is special.never mind my rant.
    I got off topic.sorry.
oh yeah-east west out of villa rica only go to cali and back I am thinking.Triple r or RRR out of calhoun ,ga. does the same.they too are a team operation.maybe you can check them out.

EDITED to add:most of the reefers at east-west that I saw sitting in the yard last week were carrier.one or two thermo king units out of the bunch.Unless the thermo kings were the real new ones that look like a carrier unit from afar.#### if i know-

Currently working for East-West Express, everyone we have worked with there has always been extremely polite. A fair warning, they will definately keep your wheels rolling, if you like to sit alot-don't work here. They will let you take your pets with you too and have a good rider program. If you want to haul produce and get lots of miles, call East-West.

    Roadwarriorking and jtrnr1951 Thank this.

I started last month with East-West Express and I think I've found my new trucking home. I like hauling produce, I know...I'm weird. Yes, it's teams only, they DO have a few local drivers for relays or pickup/deliveries, but I've never relayed yet. The deal is: 3 trips out west and back (to either FL, AL, TN, Carolinas or home terminal) then you get 6 days off. You DO have to pick-up in up to 6 different locations in CA and AZ, but they give you plenty of time; you make your own appointment for pick-ups. They have new or pretty new equipment; I just saw 3 new reefers in the yard on my way home. They want you to get 18,000 mi a month, not sure how that works, cause we got like 16,000 in 3 1/2 weeks, and are at time at home now. Everyone there is laid back, very nice. On their web-site, they ask for 2 yrs. exp., and you kinda need it. They have great support for important stuff, the rest; you should know already, LOL Of course they cut a break for new hires (Mike helped me to figure out how to get the pallets loaded), but expect you catch on. I did; you can. I think it's a good job and I'm sticking here. They pay PC miler miles, .42/mile, pay raises, $3,000 sign on bonus. They use paper logs, you turn in your trip-packs at the terminal each week. No inverters, but they will install yours. Lenient idle policy. Oh, also $25.00 a stop, mileage and performance bonuses, and the long time teams are very friendly and helpful.
Well, that's it for now; I will update when I have new info. Happy Trucking:), Kim
