eastern freightways

Yes, they SUCK! You can't get any miles. You can't fuel at a truck stop, so, you won't get a free shower ticket, or any food. They route you to their nearest NEMF terminals...the one in Baltimore has a non-working shower....the one in Elizabeth has a shower....IN THE MEN'S ROOM!! Fine, if you're a guy. What about your ladytruckers? Their trucks are abysmally small...you are sleeping with your stuff....forget about bringing along a small TV to watch while you're sitting UNPAID for 10 hours waiting for a load. No pay for breakdowns...Give up two hours, UNPAID, while at the dock. And all this misery, cramped up in a crappy little truck. Do yourself a favor, and bypass Eastern Freightways!

 

Easter Freightways is one of the worst! They will sit you around and not pay you, the miles you do get are few 2000 or so a week. The equiptment sucks small sleepers no where to put anything. No TV NO FOOD NOTHING, you carry your clothes in a bag and move them to the front seat to sleep. Last year they only allowed 400.00 per day for fuel on the road, they wanted you to go out of your way to go to a new england motor freight terminal to fuel, unpaid for the extra miles of course. Also the fuel card with its 400.00 limit doesnt work at most places you have to call them and get it authorized costing you an hour beforwe its said and done to get 400.00 in fuel its a joke. Thier trucks say it all in appearance they look like a freak circus throw out just as the company opperates a perfect match. Oh yes and also the tractors are older as well and not well maintained they break down frequently because of lack of preventetive maitenance. Definately stay clear of this outfit!!!!

Wow this is a pretty OLD post (originally posted on 12/11/2007).

It is doubtful the original poster is still around considering his last activity was 01/26/2008 and has only made 4 posts since joining this forum but perhaps he will be back at some point.

Rather than go through all the info about Eastern again I will simply post the two relevant thread links.

I believe that will answer anyones questions, that is, if they take the time to actually "read" the threads. The readers may decide for themselves whether Eastern is good or not as compared to the other carriers mentioned within this forum. Times have drastically changed since this posting in 2007, as Eastern was a very good company back then, now it is full of lies, deceit, and games all against drivers there now. The company is worst than average now. Except for a few chosen elite drivers, and possibly the owner op. they hire.

 

I worked for those ##### when they had to pay teamsters wages and now look at them the jew ####### shevell should choke in his sleep with his cokehead son watching him,to bad Tony Pro isn't around anymore he would have cement shoes most likely.

Wow. i could remember when i briefly drove for NEMF---it was one of the best gigs i ever had. The only reason i quit was due to personal stuff i had to take care of at the time.
