Easy-looking math sum leaves people confused - can you solve it without a calculator?

Without parenthesis or brackets it's a poorly written equation.

 

Reminds me of OHAHOA. Oscar has a heap of apples. Sine being opposite over hypotenuse, cosine ....
One classmate modified it to be: Oscar has a hit of acid

 

Still not near as bad as an inspection in TN years ago.,.,Trooper kept tapping on my logbook…,couldn’t figure out what on earth he was doing
Till it hit me.,,,this genius is counting single full numbers(no fractions!) on his Fingers

Basic algebra that need parentheses so that you know which parts of the equation to do first.

 

Cops have an upper limit on IQ for hiring.

 

Simple problem. Multiplication then division then add.
