Right about the precooking. I don't eat nearly as much on the road. Can't make as much money if I have to keep hitting the restrooms. I only eat once a day with a few snacks of apples, almonds or yogurt. If wheat didn't make me sick and tare my stomach upthese last few years? I'd be still hooking up some homemade spaghetti and eat it all week. Costing me maybe a little over $1 per day.

Fixed this today while I was getting loaded. The shipper in Bedford park Illinois get a good 4-5 hour nap while they were loading and the crock pot put out some awesome country style ribs with my own rub recipe.

I do 3 day out and backs so I cook up what I need while home. All I have in my truck is a lunchbox stove and a Coleman cooler. With free drinks at Loves I never spend money on the road. I can fuel, pull up. go inside, heat up breakfast in the microwave and get back to the truck before the guy behind me is finished fueling. Saves time too.

Every study and research has there own opinion. I have done mine, and I dug deeply into it, and I have my own opinion. Those who have change there diets cause of illness(diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, etc) eventually find out the truths what the FDA has been hiding. Hard to believe but true. I couldn't believe it myself and even did more research, I even researched on the authors who wrote the articles. Anyone can write up a study, but who are they ? Someone who wants there products endorse. ITS ABOUT THE MONEY. Btw, I just don't go by one study or research, I go through lots of them to confirm the information is legit.
Many use the nuke oven on the road, but there are healthier option. To which is own I say.

@wsyrob, you say you get all your drinks at loves for free, are you referring to soft drinks ? Do you know what corn syrup and fructose is and what it causes ?

From lunch box oven to micro to rice cooker, a good inverter property grounded is a must. You HAVE to cook Wal-Mart meat the first two days, and that's if you have a proper fridge. Cook what you can at home, micro for reheat at the end of your long day. I usually could get a couple of Stoffers meals in my itty bitty freezer, too.I could go weeks without truck stop grub. Think ahead, plan meals, brown rice ready to eat, and plenty of delicious sauces to perk up your protein.
    Bon appetite! :flower:
