Yup. But it from the landscape company. Thank you sir. Got the manuals to open.
Can’t thank you guys enough.
Always wondered stock hp also. Paid 1k to have the motor turned up too. So I wander what it has now. Boost went from 22psi to 30 -
Probably a 445 EU flash file... Less stringent NOx emissions in that file.

peterbilt didn’t have the part in stock today. Work canceled do to the rain so I drove the truck 15 minutes down the road to the local truck transmission and rear shop. They specialize basically in Eaton transmission. He threw on the new parts in like 15 minutes and charged me a hundred bucks. He tells me the reason why my high and low range is acting up sometimes becuase the synchros are wore out. Said it would be about 2 grand to fix. Trans stays in the truck and they just remove the rear section. I’m not gonna mess with it right now. I have a hard time believing it’s the synchros when it’s not grinding at all using the range selector going from 4th to 5th or 5th back to fourth. It’s just sometimes slow or weak. If you preselect while in 4th and then go to hit 5th gear, you don’t hear it drop to the range until the shifter touches that gear. It’s a 18 speed so I’m not talking about the side splitter button that you use your thumb to move. Talking about the bigger switch.

Can you hear any fluid or gurgling in the range that might be delaying shift? Might be worth replacing the o rings on the range piston before going in to do the synchro. But it sounds like you found someone to at least give you some good advice and repairs at a fair price.

Goodysnap Thanks this.
-
Slow range shift. Best to check your air pressure @ the filter regulator on back box of transmission.
-
Also, I have been playing with range selector with truck off so I can listen for an abnormalities. Haven’t heard any gurgling sounds. Range selector works fine in neutral with truck off.
