    Very interesting thread.

I just purchased a genuine Eaton clutch install Kit, because I was afraid of aftermarket and having problems. I'll have to compare the teeth when I put it in.

You would think they would give you at least the option of having a shaft that doesn't rattle.

    Thank you.
Your posting made me think of doing a google search for the Eaton vct pd plus and that is the cure for my exact problem I am encountering.

Weak or dirty injector does amplify this problem.

    SAR and Hulld Thank this.

So what clutch to get for my nov 1998 Detroit 12.7 ? I plan on overhauling soon and trying to get a little more (cost efficient ) torque and HP. Current clutch served me well over 1 mil miles . It’s a reman from a local shop.Apparently has the pre damper springs cause I just found one of them!. Debating don’t want to go too expensive . I see Eaton did away with the positive separator pins now have a strap on intermediate plate. Maybe too new of a design to know about problems in future?Only problem I currently have is a normal shudder when my little Detroit’s has to crawl up a steep hill heavy loaded. Don’t think I need. anything over 2000 torque rating. Maybe 1860 six plate? Any ideas appreciated
