Eaton Fuller super 10 lost reverse and gears 1-6

    Hi I own a small dump truck business only having 2 truck. My 94 Pete has a Eaton Fuller super 10 transmission. My driver was coming off and exit ramp and when he went to put it into 3rd to take off the transmission wouldn't engage. He then tried to put it in reverse to get to the side of the ramp and discovered that reverse was the same way. So reverse and gears 1-6 will go into gear but won't engage. He was able to get it into 7th gear and limp it home. 7 through 10 work properly. I have checked the fluid and it's fine. Anyone have any idea what could cause this?

    When you move the stick left to right in neutral, do you hear the range shift? Are you sure it’s not 7 and 8th gear you are talking about? All the way to the right and forward?

    R and 1-6 use the right and centre shift rails. Wonder if the interlock between them has screwed up?

    Thank you both yes it's R and 1 through 6. I've got a couple of drivers hired and work full time with another company and doing this to hopefully one day be able to quit my job. I'm assuming you have to pull the transmission to check that interlock

    Not really pull the shift boot. Then pull the shift tower which is for bolts. Move the right side shifter fork, back and forth and see what happens while turning the driveshaft.

    I have a Super 10 also but my 7 through 10 gears ratchet, like they are not engaging all the way. 1 thru 6 work good. Any ideas on that one?? Thkx!

    Synchro is bad. It’s not going into the “high side” in the back half. Or air, switch, valve, regulator, supply related.

    Have a 2007 Volvo D16 with 18 speed Ultrshift plus with clutch pedal. Got a code for reverse light switch out so i decided to change the switch and new trans wiring. Disconnected battery and changed out the wiring and reverse light switch. Now it won't go reverse. when I select reverse it show a flashing R2 and lifting off the clutch I get the arrow down flashing symbol. I put the old harness back just to check and it's also doing the same thing. By the way the new reverse light switch didn't fix the error code so that wasn't the issue. I took it out for test drive it drove fine shifted up\down all 18 gears smooth with no issues but no reverse and the only error code is for reverse light switch. I've disconnected batteries over night just to see. Any ideas?
