Hi all, I've got this truck with Ultrashift plus that for some reason doesn't differentiate between pulling 130k up a hill or going bobtail down a hill. It always changes gears at the exact rpms regardless of weight, grade or throttle pressure. I've been in the shop 4 times for recalibration and changing of the changing sequence with no change in behavior. Eaton says it needs recalibration, but the shop says it has the right calibration and it works as it should.
Is it just me thinking it doesn't make sense for the computer to try and skip from 9th(5L) to 11th(6L) going 130k up the black mountain? It is the first Ultrashift and I'm not impressed. Of course I can drive it in manual like I've done from day 1 since I've had the truck, but since I've paid for the thing, I might as well try to make it work.
