I am not "bitter". I am disgusted with being treated with contempt and inconsideration. Yes, that sounds like most trucking companies. I have worked in many industries in my life. Sales, management, insurance, autos, telemarketing, owned a bar and grill, owned an Indepentent Insurance Agency, roughnecked in the oil fields, off shore commercial fisherman, interior designer, marketing rep., field underwriter, home health care provider, gas station attendent, state sales manager, vice pres. sales. After 48 years of working I can honestly say that the trucking jobs are THE worst jobs I ever had.
    You just keep on truckin.

Tortu whatever your name is. I have no reason not to believe you and your insight on the company is welcome as this us to help guide others considering driving for ecklund. However I will say its a trucking company yes they're here to make money and yes they want to hammer out miles but everyone I've spoken to so far is pleasant and happy here. They flat out tell you the guys that don't run and just sit around truck stops won't make it here. They don't make money if you're sitting on your ###. I can appreciate working for a company that demands you make money while working. I can also appreciate a greedy company because that's how you win in business and when they win I get to keep my job

Obviously you consider greed good. Since I think greed is evil we have no foundation for further communication.
    Have a nice day.

You have to make trucking work for you. Some are able to do this job and be sucessful, And some just can't get over the fact that you really have to WORK.

Either you wanna work or you don't. We have to bridge the gap from the other lazy people that get to go home every night and dont care about us. Been like that for years and i dont see it changing either.
I just take my freight and run like the wind. If i'm tired, Well i do what i can, But for the most part, i've never had an issue delivering or picking up on time.

He probably found out dude wasnt lying and either quit or got fired. The opinions expressed by the Ecklund former driver are all true. They cant keep any drivers. They're a bunch of inbred idiots. STAY AWAY FROM ECKLUND. They are bad news.

I'm still at ecklund and I'm happy but it's not necessarily for everyone. Freight is slow now so miles are a bit light, generally running shorter loads, not sitting waiting on loads. How's your CSA score? Our new pay rate is tied to a number of factors, one that bites a lot of guys is CSA score. What are you looking for in a company so we can better gauge if it's a good fit for you?
