Economic crash worse than in 2008?

I'm beginning to play the skeptic card. I read in our local paper, the county just to the south of us, which is sparsely populated, had an increase in cases from 27 to 94!!! YET,,, in our county, cases have dropped to almost nil, they took down the "testing tent" at our local hospital and have "opened up " the city, with a few restrictions. When entering ANY establishment, a mask is required. They've even rescheduled a popular river event, FibArk , slated for June, for early August. That brings in people from around the world. What about that, only 6 weeks away?I'm curious how that's going to work with restaurants and bars? Can't eat or drink through a mask. So who do you believe? Some are calling it the biggest blunder of the century, (others that have had it, or died, might think different)and the century is still young, we have a ways to go. My biggest question, if this was all intentional somehow, why would someone want that? Took down the whole world,,that's why, I guess.

 

It’s all BS designed to let the D stay in his basement and have cover and the R look bad as possible and not be able to rally. Covid wasn’t working anymore? Let’s start a race dividing riot, oh thats running out of steem? Let’s go back to the covid.

A small business can’t open and serve people without risking arrest but someone with a brick in their hand can loot and run free. Things are so backwards right now. Trust me, it’ll be one “disaster” after another until Nov 3rd and then it’ll all go away like nothing ever happened. It’s all manufactured.

 

A restaurant in any small town in the country can't serve a single customer, or a movie theater, or a clothing store, barber, etc, but in the one place it actually got a little bad, NYC, those fools never even shut down the subway for any extended time and people were riding without masks for months.

The whole thing is a ####ing joke.

 

Apparently you can't shut down the transit system.

Ours still rolled with 4 hooked together. And not one passenger.

 

Be that as it may, sure put a "nail in the gears". I hear, due to the shortfall in cities budgets, services are going to be cut to the bone, including, police, fire, parks, garbage collection, THAT'S going to be the real issue.

My city you pay annual fees for the trash can. Let's pretend that this isn't being charged for trash though.
