I heard many years ago that Canada goes through Interpol to do record checks, and Interpol does not recognize juvenile records as being "sealed". That is a US thing, not international.
I have an alcohol related misdemeanor conviction from when I was 19, and don't go to Canada with a commercial vehicle because of it. Since my conviction is considered a felony in Canada, I ain't allowed in with a big truck. My response was to stick with carriers that don't haul freight to Canada.

I knew a guy that went up to canada and got turned away. Was going up there for personal reasons on his own dime.brsims Thanks this. -
Yea their alcohol charges up there are a lot more strict. But fortunately they do recognize a charge as juvenile which they seem to be more forgiving of. I have two felonys and a misdemeanor and they said they don't see why I would be held from entering becouse of my age.

Really. I know for a fact if those felonies have to do with ahhemm controlled substances, who ever you talked with is probably wrong and you will be turned away.
I dont care to drive to canada anyway about anyways.
Respomse to olechevyG.Anthony Thanks this. -
The felonys I have have nothing to do with controlled substances. The misdermeanor I had was a minor in possesion of alcohol. I actually talked to the canadian officers and they took my cdl and looked me up and did a full background.. I'm still nervous, but here in a couple weeks I'll find out if they let me and the truck In.

Lame ode to my hero. -
Two felonies.. contempt of resedintial burglary and possesion of stolen property. The misdermeanor was minor in possesion of alcohol. These can all be expunged but that doesn't matter when it comes to crossing th border
