    if you have D12D you can use Volvo EGR core and put Cummins C870 EGR internals in it

    well, did they give you old EGR they removed from your engine? if yes, take it apart. You see valve and motor combined with sensor. Really Cummins use the same motor and sensor (not CM871, CM870 only)

    update: my mechanic just called, EGR is all done. will have total bill on mon or tues, but ballpark figure will be about $800-900 for EGR and 3 hrs of labor @ $70 per hour to put it in.... Nashville Volvo can SUCK IT!!!!!!

    the problem of Volvo EGR is that Volvo use non VGT turbo and EGR cycles more! More movements per the same time. But VGT turbo is expencive toy too.
