    Tucker. Not on your life. if you were an O/O with nice trucks, and have been a solo driver all your career. You'd see the idiocracy to that statement. I employee solo drivers to drive my trucks, and it works out well getting my cattle to the feedlots, meat producing plants, and so forth. The exemption is due to the miles, and the product in which we haul. The only other time sensitive freight is produce, and boxed meats which both can spoil in transit.

    BoostedTeg Thanks this.

    That is untrue. If the engine model is 2000 or later. The ELD is exempted from those trucks no matter how far they haul freight. Most 98% of bull haulers run way more than 150 miles. This is usually held to the local drivers who are taking cattle from a feedlot to a meat producing plant within that mileage determination.

    You tired bull haulers can keep falling asleep and wrecking so I can buy bruised ribeyes for a dollar a pound at the Frugal Hoosier.

    @tucker

    And in turn, would you be willing to wreck a load of lumber so the bullhaulers could get cheap plywood and 2x4s? Then they could build a nice barbecue on the back porch and you could bring the discount steaks.

    I don't want to disclose my age in here... but I am getting old.... some say I'm already old... :biggrin_25523:
    No... I don't have any joint problems... I do drink milk and love dairy products... :yes2557:
    I have been losing some bone density but doctor said it has nothing to do with my diet but my age...
    I generally do a full blood test once every year or two and it shows fine...
    But hey... I'm not advocating vegetarianism in any way... I chose it for various personal reasons and I like it.
    I agree with you about the need for protein... that helps to build strong muscles and bones... I wish there were a non animal source of protein as strong as what it's found in meat and fish...
    But I can't make myself eat any kind of meat.... :biggrin_25512: after all these years, I find any meat disgusting... but that is ME....
    Anyway... I was going to write more about diet and being healthy but don't want to hijack the thread...
