ELD Issues and trucker opinions

I wanted to join this forum to learn more about some of the issues that trucker's face - specifically related to the tech drivers use in their cabs. I'm interested in your opinions regarding the new ELD mandate, navigations/ELD systems you use or your friends use, dispatch software, etc. and whether you like/dislike them. I recently started working for a company that sells tech products to truckers (e-loggers, navigations, etc.) - I'm not here to sell things or get business. Rather, I want to get an understanding of trucker's opinions on the ELD mandate (seems to be pretty negative amongst truckers especially owner operators although some do seem to like them), issues they face with navigation units, etc. We want to develop new products, services, and features to help drivers. We aim to create low cost tech solutions to make compliance and the drive a bit easier for operators.


Some of the things I'm interested in are as follows:

What are some of the features you particularly about your e-logger, navigation unit, etc.? What are some that you dislike? Has it made your business easier?

Do you prefer bring your own device systems or all in one units? Was it difficult for you to set up?

How do you feel about the ELD mandate in general?
