We all know you can change your gauges and alter performance by assigning a different databus remotely via a elog. So could potentially if highway is breached when it is linked to your elog. Imagine if 80% of otr companies use highway what that would do in an attack… Even if it takes away some of your hos time. On a massive scale it could harm the economy. You can bet China is on this like white on rice. Could cause a lot of mayhem. FBI warned of this a few years ago. Highway is crossing a line they could care less about. Greed is all they care about. An attack could disrupt all trucking since elogs are connected to highway. It’s the most brilliant weapon. All the brokers moving from RMIS to highway don’t care about logistics security. Only the dollar. Call them out and shun them.

Never ever give anybody access to your elog data. That is private company information and no company should be willing to give that info up just to move some brokers freight. Macropoint works just fine in tracking, so does an email, or a phone call. I already feel some apps have done enough damage by gathering info and locations. Stop giving in to these ridiculous broker demands. One day you'll get a call from a broker stating "hey, we've noticed you travel alot between Atlanta and Dallas, we can get you some regular freight in that lane if you'd like?" If you let them in you'll never get them out.

Do some with brokers that use Highway, no problems with it.

    The_vett and Siinman Thank this.

Did not take the load. The problem is tons of brokers I work with, use Highway nowadays, so I am not sure how all this is gonna work out for me in the future.

I set up with Buchanan last week, through Highway. I was approved despite being ELD exempt. All I sent was my registration. I will not send send title or license.

I was able to sign up earlier this month with a broker through HIGHWAY and my ELD wasn't on their list but they still approved me without having to send any additional info. I did send my website so maybe that was enough, I don't know. I wouldn't have given ELD access regardless.

First I have seen of this. I do not use a lot of brokers and so far have not had anyone I use ask for anything. I think a couple brokers I used in the past year or so had asked for me to switch over and I never did anything. Not gonna jump through any more hoops at this point unless they want to up rates for that kind of BS. Things are getting crazier than ever it seems.
