You're missing what I'm trying to say. You're so eager to get in your emotions that your not reading what I'm trying to say. I'm not saying that truckers causing wrecks is the reason for elogs. I'm only saying that's how our leaders is selling it to those who don't know anything about trucking. Elogs went into effect because it's a money thing. When you have a lot of money, that equals power and you can do whatever you want. Why else do megas set the standard for the industry, despite 90 percent of trucking being owner operator or small fleets?
ELD Mandate....Any O/O's left the business because of it?

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.
-
That's $8,750. And it's for only 40 weeks of the year. Weeks off are free.
With all expenses included, extra wear on the truck, labor, fuel, etc etc etc and my boss's cut,
$350,000 gross would be break even to me.
Of course I full plan to do more than that.tucker Thanks this. -
I have shown about zero "emotions" in my 2 posts, and none of my trucks use ELD's. By far the most emotional one on this thread is yourself, with your lengthy rants. Just pointing out where you're incorrect in some of your comments. Oh well, I'm out.gokiddogo, jamespmack and rank Thank this.

Didn’t you or your company pay for paper log books?bryan21384 Thanks this.
-
Actually, funny you should ask.......no. I was given a giant box of log books years ago by the local (taxpayer funded) electric power authority whose management felt the old ones would no longer good enough. I just started the last book last week. Maybe I'll fall into another skid of them now that Elogs are here.....oh wait.....we all have to run paper AND Electronic simultaneously for when the electronic craps out. I forgot.jamespmack Thanks this.

No emotion here brother. Just having a conversation and everyone disagrees with things I say so they crucify me lol, no hard feelings. Just differences of opinion.
-
I hope everyone quits. Rates are already starting to go through the roof.

If you left because of eLogs you don’t understand what the problems are. The biggest being the 14 hour rule. Yes you could fudge a little on paper, but mostly it was the same or at least you should have been doing it the same. Why? Do you own a cell phone? They’re tracking you ALL DAY LONG. Not to mention you guys who pull company wagons. Those trailers are tracked.
bryan21384 and UsualSuspect Thank this. -
I can’t wait to see how happy all you pro eld guys are when everyone is limited to 65 mph by law because “the government is saving truckers from themselves”. That speed limiter law is following the exact same path as the elog law did.....it’s just waiting on a Democrat. Thank goodness that’s still another 6+ yrs away
