Exactly, pretty much the innovator of ELD's from back in the day, Qualcomm I guess. To me that's Highway's problem, not mine, and I'm not changing my ELD either.CorsairFanboy, Iamoverit, Deere hunter and 1 other person Thank this.

I simply won't haul for them. As far as sales goes, sorry... if you're really a fleet owner you should know how to proceed with that.TheLoadOut Thanks this.

That will be their next move. They'll attempt to force foolish carriers into moving to whatever platform the broker borg decides they like best. Maybe one day these people will wise up and realize when the market is dead it's time to park.TheLoadOut Thanks this.

Seems these so-called trucking companies need to be told what to do. They can't seem to connect any dots otherwise. Sad but true.D.Tibbitt, TheLoadOut, CorsairFanboy and 1 other person Thank this.

The sad thing is, they won’t. The sheep always give in.Deere hunter, Cleduskenworth, TheLoadOut and 1 other person Thank this.

This is what the ELD mandate was all about. All this beautiful safety.
NorthEastTrucker, OldeSkool, Deere hunter and 4 others Thank this. -
Yes, I’m sure back in 2012 they figured they could use it as a way to combat fraudulent carriers in the post Covid trucking boom.TheLoadOut and Deere hunter Thank this.

This is not new. This data has been sold and used for a few years now to dictate pricing to carriers. Anyone that has been in trucking for a bit knows that it used to take rates a bit to move in a certain direction in a significant way. Now the rates shift daily. How is that possible? DATA. Information is power. It's only going to get worse as more and more carriers buy into this nonsense because they are too short sighted to see where this is already heading. Good luck with any meaningful freight recovery any time soon. This combined with huge overcapacity is going to keep rates down for several more years while attrition does its thing. And even counting for attrition, do those company trucks that used to belong to bankrupt companies ever really leave the market? They do not. They just change hands repeatedly. IMO the only thing that will significantly move the market is something disruptive or a major increase in available freight. I currently see no signs of that happening right now or in the next year. Good luck to everyone.TheLoadOut, CorsairFanboy and Iamoverit Thank this.
