ELD required in class B trucks?

    Keep in mind that many trucks like that are only going to be involved in Intrastate Commerce, and for those trucks, even if the state mirrors federal logging requirements, I'm not sure any of the states have instituted their own ELD requirements, which means that you could have to log, but not on ELD.

    Those type of trucks are most likely doing under 100 miles so they would quickly for 100 mile radius and have a time sheet

    While true, there is also a 12 hour limit that may or may not matter for the timecard exemption.

    Short answer is that the mandate does not differentiate between straight trucks and combination trucks.
