There was language in the bipartisan infrastructure bill allowing livestock haulers to log Ag exempt in a 150 mile radius on the destination end of the trip also, basically giving them 17 or so hours of drive time. All I heard all fall run from my friends was how they were all short on trucks, couldn’t find trucks. The rates are crap because it’s been two years since anyone has had to run a log book. I know what I make running totally legal and mostly light weight with a dry van and no way I’d go back to running heavy and not sleeping for a couple days at a time for what they’re getting paid now.alds, larry2903, Accidental Trucker and 3 others Thank this.

But teach me the trick on how to run 20 hrs (legally on 1 book ) with paper logs
Because I've run paper logs for 35+ yrs.. I I have yet to figure out how to do that..god knows I've tried
My answer to your rant is..Learn how to connect the lines & Take a page out of Nancy Regan's play book..Just say NO to long hrs and cheap freight
