Calm down.
My driving record is clean. Great safety record. I don’t need to be monitored like a newborn in the crib. I shouldn’t be treated like the type of driver you speak of.
Electronic tracking has been required on semi-trucks for 5 years. Fatalities haven't decreased.

Paper won’t restart while your bobtailing off duty in PC,and switch you to driving.
-
Sounds like a settings problem. Most companies limit PC to an hour a day or so.
Everybody else does too. Until they don't. -
The airline industry is in a mess also. Big Carriers use mostly smaller Carriers for passenger flights. Since they’ve changed their service Business plan to hub operations. People think they’re flying a major Airline, when actually it’s another small contracted Airline. The Pilots don’t make much at all. They’re also forced to fly more, simply to make a living. and are overall way less experienced than the actual hiring criteria of the larger airline it’s representing. It’s shocking, A Pilot can get promoted very quickly, resulting in the blind leading the blind. A recent crash illustrated that neither Pilot had the enough training and flight time.

It also won't check your math or record your location for you. Two of our biggest violations on paper logs.

Originally it was supposed to be for the bad actors that had egregious HOS violations, like when JBS had to adopt electronic logging or lose their authority. But OOIDA decided that the rule needed to be fought.Graham Cracker Thanks this.

Yeah; it seems if a driver is a stumbling bumbling accident on wheels then they want cameras on everyone including those of us who are actually good at our jobs and don’t need constant baby monitoring and have the good records to prove it.
Top of the line drivers are being driven out of the industry because of the bad drivers.O.Henry Thanks this. -
Go back today, had a 34 hour reset, and it picked up the drive time it missed Monday morning, also had added the mileage traveled, again ), so I had to delete 28 miles again, and sign the log again for I forget how many times.
Phones shut off in the heat, too, forgot to mention that. In cold weather I need to be careful to keep the phone warm, I guess, no problem connecting today. -
Top of the line drivers? LOL!!!!!

From the original manual of my Case tractor of the 40’s. And it still stands true today.
No electronic device will do as much for safety as a careful driver, but electronic equipment will generate a lot of $$$…. for someone.
MACK E-6 and SteveScott Thank this.
