No! one size fits all is deserved because we have very stupid people in this industry thinking they can do what they want and don’t give a crap what happens, while I and millions of others do.
Until drivers get off their butts and demand holding others accountable, we will have these stupid regulations and politicians acting like they are doing something right.
HOS isn’t about you, it is all about all of us. -
All they have to do is allow the clock to stop when off duty that way people can take rest break whenever they want and not worry.
alds Thanks this. -
Like I do frequently, using the current rules?
-
How do you get the clock to stop?
-
Go off duty for a minimum of two hours?Bean Jr. Thanks this.
-
Going off duty for 2 hours doesn't stop clock.
What if I only need to stop for 40 minutes such as going to store. -
owner op have skin in the game....its their business, their equip.....while comp drivers are not so invested.....anybody who owns a business will work their tales off to make it successful.
-
Yes it does. Both breaks stop the 14. So a minimum of 2 hours either off duty or sleeper pauses the 14 hour clock.
And I guess if going to the store had to be done but the 40 minutes is going to ruin your day I would probably just stretch it to at least 2 hours so it pauses the clock for you.
