Got a 14:00 live offload Monday in Franklin, Ma and I am already parked at Elkton, Md. 335 miles. Normally I like to arrive an hour before my appt, but I have no idea what I'll run into. I could leave real early but that would guarantee not much over the 335 paid miles on the day. I am open to suggestions, hopefully from someone very familiar running the NE. Thx.
Elkton, Md to Franklin, Ma...when to go?

your best bet is late tonight early morning, then hit the TA in Willington CT on I-84 and hang there till closer to your delivery time. Willington CT is just a hair over a hour to Franklin

i would be leaving now...get up there, find a t/s and camp out for a little while. traffic through the city wont be near as bad today. if you wait till tomorrow early morning, you will end up in rush hour traffic on 95 in and around the city. which reaally isnt that bad, but i would allow an extra hour and a half if you leave in the morning. But then again, no one ever accused me of being a rocket scientist....

I burnt my entire 14 today getting to Elkton. My 10 will not be completed until 21:30. Approx 6 hr trip at best. Can't sleep at Consignee. Add another 10 and that's 13:30 at best. ELOGS.

The Rt 1 truck stops { north and south } are just minutes from Franklin. they are only an exit or two away off of Rt 495. Rt 95 and Rt 495 also converge in that area just south of Franklin.[ once again only minutes away.]

As long as I take my full 10 now, can't I drive up and arrive at the truck stop around 04:00. Then take an 8hr splitand roll on over to the customer at 13:00? Wouldn't I have the balance on my 11 and 14 that I didn't use on the 6hr trek up there?

Do you think I'll find parking at the Plainville Citgo at 04:00? Is 95 all the way ok or should I head up to 90?
-
Plainville is a small truck stop, but I've always seen parking there. If not,Mike's is up the road toward Foxboro, [ near Patriot's place ] it's only about 4-5 miles from plainville also on Rt 1. you should be fine on Rt 95 tonight plus saving money on tolls.Take 95 north to 495 north.first exit is Rt1. Plainville is south about a mile. Mike's is north about 3 miles.
