Swift company drivers do not have line 5, off duty-driving, and are not allowed to use the truck for personal conveyance.

That is one of the reasons Swift sucks, along with any other company that doesn't let drivers take the ball and chain off to live like a human being. They have the technology to identify abuse.

Give me line five or I will only take my 34 at the house. Either that or pay me an hourly rate for taking a 34 on the road.

Distance is not mentioned, therefore cannot be "extrapolated".

I would like you to show me if it's there though. I can always learn something.

I don't get something, your instructor doesn't know a thing about logs?

elogs are just another method of recording your hos, nothing more.

HOS doesn't change, so nothing will be different except one minor thing. How it's recorded. Everything else stays 100% the same.

USA Truck let you use pc time up to 10 or 15 miles. I used it when I was breaking at our yard on my 10 and needed a trailer. I could just drive and look for one.
