To run under AFM the company must have certification and you must carry your certificate of competency at all times.

Wanna bet? If a shipper takes forever to load me it will make the load late before i disregard hos. I'll also never load there again. You can control detention time simply by being a bit more choosy of who to haul for.

Why did we get an elog mandate? Follow the money. Look up Irwin Jacobs. Notice who he was the 3rd highest political donor for, then look at what company he heads. Funny coincidence, eh?

Elogs are more about mega carriers getting cheaper insurance, dots bending us over backwards and everyone else profit and the driver loses

And to think all these lemmings are blindly just chomping at the bit to help add to his billions at the cost of me and you.

You are correct, the KeepTrucking app, on my tablet is editable... But is it still editable once its hooked up to the ecm, and it turns into an ELD?

Straight on the FMCSA website they go and #### things all to hell...if one actually pays attention to wording.

2000 and older trucks are exempt per the FMCSA rules because a 2000 was manufactured in 1999.

If one fills out 8 logs or less in a 30 day period they're elog exempt.

If one never leaves a 100/150 sir mile radius they do not require an elog.

That being said all the newer eld's should require is a power wire as much as I am against the mandate I'm exempt from one and I don't find it to be right. All that is truly needed for log compliance is a simple system with a power wire and a GPS that's run off that power wire. There is 0 need to have it connected to the motor that GPS can tell when you're moving and when you're not #### my god #### cell phone knows when I'm moving and when I'm not.

    Oxbow Thanks this.
