Elogs for 1 or 2 truck operations...

My problem is that over half of my runs leave me 50 miles or so from my drop or home for an 11 hour drive time...Sometimes 15 minutes...It just sucks finding parking and sitting in the truck 10 hours only minutes from where I need to be.
Then it will start my 14 just to get those few miles in...So that screws up my next day.

So the Elog is going to cause me to run faster and be in a constant rush...Time is money!
I hate to say it but I hope people do come up with software hacks for this BS..
Or I will be using personal conveyance on a regular basis!.....

I am the only truck for a private carrier and there dang should be some type of exemption for crap like this.

I know all these mega drivers will bash me over this because they love their E-logs!

There is an exemption if you run within a 100 mile air mile radius. You can use a paper time card instead.

    EZ Money Thanks this.

Buy an old truck and restore it to DOT SPEC. 95 AND DOWN, 96, 99, all are under the e logs laws.

95 is bottom of the list I read on emissions.

Explain a little deeper please. I thought the exemption was 99 and down.

From what I read, not only am I talking about the e logs, that is from 99 and down exempt.

Emissions on the trucks vary greatly on each of the years I stated and regulations get more strict as you go up to date.

That's what I got from it Wore. Still tho, I'm not aware of any emissions stuff until you get to 2003. ABS brakes on the other hand.....that became a requirement on the power unit in 1998 if I recall correct.

Something I should know and think I do but my truck is a 91 pulling an ABS trailer they are not required to be functional right?

If trailer is older than '99 model year I think it's exempt. If it's newer, pretty sure it has to be intact. Of course it won't be working on a '91 truck but that doesn't mean you can snip all the wires and what not
