I've only been o/o for 2 years 18 months of it with emway. First company was like the majority tell you great things and don't deliver. I've never had empty promises made to me here. I've talked to so many o/o and the majority talk about taking home after fees less the $2000 a week and some way under that. I average $3500 and have had weeks where I cleared $5500 take home. Sometimes the runs just fall into place but you'll never I mean never make less then $3000 a week net if you actually drive and don't play.

I saw their ad in the owner operator ad book and I thought it sound too good to be true as well. I went on their Web page and filled out the basic form. Christine called me today and basically told me the same info. It still sounded too good to be true but the reviews I found sounded mostly positive and they are recent. She even gave me a number of an insurance company that might offer better insurance. 1st guard insurance 866-327-8234. You almost have to pay for everything yourself insurance, and plates, but they cover the permits and IFTA. From what she told me there is no orientation but all the info is in the packet they sent. I feel a lot confinent now and will apply today.

How much money do u have to have upfront for the insurances and other fees? Or is it deducted from settlements?

Reddove ifta is not taken care of. You don't have to keep track of your mileage per state or your fueling but you psy for it every quarter its deducted from a settlement. But for real its a great company I have no complaints. Excellent people. Never had even a single issue getting paid. Its like click work. Bass guy79 all the insurances and fees are taken from your settlement.

okay. It sounds similar to my other company I worked as an O/O. You turn in your fuel receipts and they take out the IFTA quarterly. I really hope My application is accepted. I applied to 6 O/O companies and this one and ATS are my top choices.

They called me back, I really want to join them but I'm having issues getting fianancing for the truck I want I'll have to put down a much larger down payment than I can afford right now. my credit score is over 700 the problem is that I don't have enough credit. I'm going to another company called Parkway transport and lease their truck it's a walk away lease so I'll be with them for 6-8 months if everything go well I can drop that truck lease and then buy a truck and go on with EM then.

    Lilbull,
How do fuel surcharges work? Is it included in the quoted rate or do you add it? Do you keep 100% of surcharges?

    Monika, Lilbull,
If I have more than 1 truck do I multiply their fee times the number of trucks? Or is it one fee regardless of trucks in my small Fleet?

I liked your question and decided to send Christine the owner an email in regards to this question. She said that they do multiply their fee per truck regardless of the number of trucks. This is due to the fact that EM Way does not take out a percentage of you loads and depending on how many trucks someone would bring in, there would be a possibility of her having to hire on more staff to handle the dispatching. Makes sense. I email her at least a few times a week and she ALWAYS promptly responds with answers to my questions. Her email is christine@emwayinc.com. Her program is unique and I have heard nothing but great feedback. Soon as I get a truck, this is where I will be.
