Sometimes a faulty bulb can cause that problem. Go out and check em'
HalpinUout Thanks this. -
Did this problem just start or is this truck new to you? Its been about 6 years since I was last in a Sterling but I know some medium duty trucks (Topkick/Kodiak come to mind) would do what you're describing. Don't know if they were designed that way but I have driven close to a dozen of them and they all did it.

Don't western stars also do this? Not sure what would need to be modified to prevent it on a sterling though.

This truck is new to be about 6 months..I'll check the bulb but everything else seems to work just fine turn stop brake just the flashers..thanks guys

I suspect nothing is wrong .that's probley the way it's wired .
Westernstar are like that also.
You can go into the signal stat on the steering column and snip a wire to make it work like normal...........
Or just leave it alone ,works fine. -
Thanks I'll leave it ..was just wondering was something wrong
