I got to thinking about that after my knee jerk reaction.. good point But a release letter should be sufficient.

Something tells me this is not a "routine visit". And something also tells me this individual has reported past issues to the company that resulted in missed work and may also be an indication of cause to fail future DOT medical exams. And/or, this may also be related to a work-related injury where the employer has every right to see whatever medical records that are related to the injury and the claim against the company.

Me smells a rat and and I think so too does the company.

Which is WHY I asked if this was a work related Dr. visit.

As is so often the case on this forum, it's not what ppl do include in their question or comment, it's what they don't include.

Imagine an employee going in to the dispatch office.
Driver: "I realize I missed several days last week sitting in a motel and missed an appointment and cost you guys a lot of money and grief. I was very sick. Now that I'm home, I need to go see a doctor about these frequent dizzy spells I've been having. I'll be back driving your truck the day after tomorrow."

How would you react? I have no idea what the reality is and the reason I don't know is because we as forum readers are not going to be told but maybe half of the story. So I can only use my imagination and create possible scenarios for the mysterious half of the story.

Here on TTR, it's like "My wife kicked me out last night. Don't you feel sorry for me?" And the rest here are immediately and without question ... "That B##ch! What's the matter with her!? Her loss, not yours".

Nobody bothers to get her side OR the truth. (Often the truth is an "average" of her side and his side)

Just a simple check up with nothing job related. Gave them the Dr release. They want Dr to fax info over regarding the nature of the visit, any prescriptions (there was no meds given). Even in the army, never once had higher ups ask about the nature of my Dr appointments. It was always just a hey I got a appointment this day, then a simple ok man sounds good. Now I have there equipment on my property that I'm expected to safegaurd for free? Lol.
Originally i was scheduled for a noon pickup since my appointment was early in the morning. The person in HR that's requesting this is by no means a medical professional to make such decisions.

    NightWind and Tb0n3 Thank this.

They want this from all Dr visits also, to include my VA compensation and pension exams which is not going to happen.

    Tb0n3 Thanks this.

If it involves having to get a note saying you can work without restriction it’s not a routine doctor visit, and they have a right to know what’s going on because it clearly involves them.

Why did you get a note for a simple check up?

It clearly does not involve them. They put a safety hold on me because I told them I needed a late pickup because I have a Dr appointment. That's all I said

    NightWind Thanks this.
