Thanks man, gonna check out all those companies you mentioned. Picking my own loads sounds great, but on average, how many loads does that Schneider board show? Whats the %, is it fixed or variable? Is there any kind of comp from Schneider, for saying deadheading to pick up a load since your an LO?

Sorry for asking all these questions, but I really like what I'm hearing. Gonna search this forum and read up everything I can about them.

You're thinking in terms of mileage pay like a company drive, it doesn't work like that.
We're paid by the load we complete, all loads pay differently and there's thousands of them constantly changing.

    It works like this

No problems with asking questions, you're doing the right thing.
Learning is key this in this industry.

Go to the Midland/Odessa area, lots of companies there will hire new drivers and you'll be making 60k and up.
