Yeah it’s definitely on me for not asking them. No other pay. I did ask that but since I’m guaranteed the $1500 they don’t pay if I’m sitting around

another thing is, you have a choice..you can stay and get MORE time in/experience, and get a higher paying gig, or quit, and chance not getting a higher paying job, but "same pay" job....JUST17 Thanks this. -
So your employer has guaranteed that you will earn $1500 a week regardless of miles. Add to that every financial guru is predicting a slowdown. And you feel like you’re being ripped off.
The only downside I see to your situation is the fact the company is out of Chicago it seems.
I’m betting there are no less than 10 Swift/crst drivers that have flagged this thread for updates. So they can jump all over that job if you ever name the company, then quit.JUST17 Thanks this. -
with the 1500 for sure it's a good job. some of the people that are telling you that isn't are making 35 or 40 cents a mile but dead head too ..... figure out who is working for nothing it's not you

My guarantee minimum pay is $1,000. I don't think I would be worried about empty miles if your getting $1,500 guarantee. I get paid loaded and empty miles. To average $1,500 a week is not easy when getting paid loaded and empty miles. I would almost say $1,500 guarantee minimum pay would be hard to keep up for a company.
buddyd157 Thanks this.
