From what I understand via FAA there is going to be some winds up to 60 in the NE within 30 hours time give or take. For me I usually consider that enough to stop and wait it out in a truckstop loaded or empty. There is no load worth risking along with the rig and yourself and others for sake of a few hours time saved fighting it. Be a good time to take a 34 reset as well.

"Empty tractor trailer and tandems ban"
    I have a stupid question
That means loaded trucks may proceed? I have a 26k pound load this time. What is a tandem ban...bobtail tractor? I love how they give us these cryptic messages. Leaving in the morning. Planned to leave tonight but I'm not interested in fighting the wind. It's howling like crazy at the house now. Can hardly drive the little truck in a straight line even at only 50-55 mph. Oh, it's also trying to snow, so you can't see too well now anyway. 535 miles from here to delivery. Usually takes about 10 hours of driving time. ~12 from door to door. 9pm delivery. Can park before and after at customer.

Left t5 this morn headed for Binghamton ...ohtp to the 110 and north on 4 to 2 east to 90 to 17 in New York.
    21k in the box .
Hairy a couple times but empty would have parked it .
Definitely wouldn't have wanted to be going north south .

I came through the toll both at Syracuse NY around 8:00 PM and was stopped by a NY Trooper checking to make sure I was not empty. I was allowed to proceed when I told him I am loaded. The tandem ban is doubles/triples loaded or empty. Parked now and the truck is rockin and rollin. Even with air bags on tractor and trailer dropped and the landing gear down for added support, the truck is still being rocked by the wind. No snow in the Syracuse area and west. Ran into some south of Syracuse on I-81

I don't believe 17/I-86 is affected. Hoping not. I'll be empty by Noon tomorrow and need to travel on 17/86 from 414 to 15 at Corning. Only a few miles but still....
