I think I would’ve been if I was told up front and didn’t feel like I was forced into it but I went over it with a few trainer and supervisor and they seem to agree I should be cool so, I’m glad I don’t have to make that decision

S/n I have short dreadlocks so when I seen the hair length policy I had my girlfriend braid them up to be shorter. When I have my hat on you can’t notice them and they aren’t past my shirt collar
-
I’m in the class you are in and there’s nobody in here with dreads.
You and your friend leave?
We lost 1/2 our class of 15 to DOT physical and I believe 1 to the physical test.Lonesome and RussianBearTruckeR Thank this. -
Just keep your hat on and get thru Orientation !
Good Luck !RussianBearTruckeR and Chinatown Thank this. -
Just make sure your buddy has the camera rollin when the trainer comes out with the scissors and says, cut your hair, or forfeit your orientation. Just might go viral, and send the naacp in an uproar.
Rugerfan Thanks this. -
Hardly a dumb rule. Flat bedding exposes you to lots of safety sensitive environments. Shippers and consignees certainly wouldn’t want dreads being caught in equipment while on their property no matter how unlikely the scenario.Rugerfan and Highway Sailor Thank this.

I know I said the rule was dumb, and i still think that...but you would have done better to not even say anything because that makes no sense.

Keep that hair plastered to your head and a hat on. That's one of the dumbest rules I've ever heard of.
If they kick you out, don't worry, there's plenty of other companies that will be glad to have you and your friend. -
Cool story bro.

Would they ask a female driver to cut her long hair? If the answer is No, then there is a problem with singling out two very specific hair styles.
