End of the road for truckers?

I hope thousands quit.

Everywhere I go I here of Swift losing accounts do to damage product or service failures.

Precisely what is needed is more qualified drivers throw in the towel.

 

My favorite phrase seems to be WOW today.
If this keeps up you guys will put yourselves out of work - and they will NEED the robots.

This elog turned my off duty time while I was loading into drive time
Now I have to take another 30 minute break. 30 minutes later that I’ll get home

The teasing and talking aside, if I did not try to have a little fun perhaps I would break down and cry being no good to anyone.

I did not at any time say that truckers were bad. As in baaad. However... the spirit remains that truckers give a little something extra for the good of the Nation. Without getting all idealistic, we do serve the People. If I show up on time into Hunts Point with 48000 pounds of good quality butter the City of NY and Boroughs will have consumed all that butter over dinner relatively quickly. They don't think of me at dinner. Just the ####### that had trouble trying to cross the throgs bridge earlier.

The USA goes to sleep at night, say Oklahoma. I'll be quietly moving through Kit Carson under the stars rolling east and down, still 2000 miles to go so that perhaps Georgia will have the pleasure of the washington apples right quick. With the Jake off so that the people in Kit will sleep a touch better. Because I think of them at 2 am.

I don't talk much about what drivers lose when they do a life time of trucking, but rather what they can stand to gain when everything works out roughly as they ever wanted to in this life. I know it did for me. So many have not made it.
