I want to say it was three weeks from getting the S&P permit to taking the skills and road tests, but that was just their program they had in place at the time.

Thank you so much for your help.
Where did you take the endorsement tests - at the Department of Driver Services or the school?
Did the school pay for the Endorsement Test?
Please explain the Endorsement Test process if possible.
    Thank you.

I went to the driver's license office to take the written tests to get my CDLP for the P&S endorsements. I did the skills test at the county school training facility. They're a 3rd party examiner for the state.

The county school system paid for the endorsements and permit.

The process is exactly like if one was going for their initial CDL:
    1) Written test
    2) Skills test (pre-trip, backing, road)
    3) Endorsements added to CDL

After passing the skills test, the endorsements were added to my CDL. Because I took the skills test in a Class B bus, they put a "M" restriction (no Class A bus) on my CDL. But, Class A busses are extinct, so no loss there lol
