Can anyone advise me how a engine brake on a 2009 kenworth Paccar PX-8 engine.I have squeling/whistling type noise when the engine brake is activated. It sound as if it coming from the turbo. When the engine brake is deactivated the noise stops.I don't see any exhust brake I'm thinking the turbo may have something to do with the engine braking.THANKS IN ADVANCE

Probably a blown exhaust manifold or turbo mounting gasket

the ecm has a setting for the vgt turbo to act as and exhaust brake. the squeal is probably the wheel hitting the housing.
