Did your "mobile mechanic" run a successful forced regen while monitoring parameters after replacing the sensors?
Yes. Did full dpf analysis and regen analysis and all came back good. He did say bevies it could be electrical issue, maybe harness is shorting out somewhere between sensor and ecm. My main mechanic is out of town so was just hoping it’ll be ok to run for now. It’s never actually gone into derate. Just flashes on then off. Same with CEL. On and off. It’s an intermittent issue
If those 2 codes returned after replacing sensors and regen, you have problems in the wiring going to differential pressure sensor. Start at sensor and begin working your way backwards while praying that the problem is closer to the start of your search than the end of your search.
Thanks. I’m going to have to get this sorted ASAP. It’s gonna be a ##### to solve I’d say. Fingers crossed
This problem is starting to get to me. Mechanic has found there’s a short, (as we knew) but is trying to work way back but there’s so much wiring he said this could be looking for needle in haystack and might have to just start replacing harnesses which could be thousands and thousands! I feel very frustrated and worried.
Get a new mechanic. This should not take "thousands and thousands" It will take someone with more knowledge than "your mechanic" to be fixed efficiently and cost effective.
Just took for drive with computer plugged in. Drove up and down road fine no lights. Then I wanted to try slow turn because for some reason I used to feel it flashed the message under those conditions. As soon as I started a slow right turn, the computer indicated that the Volts dropped below 2v on the dpf differential pressure sensor and flashed that message. So we repeated this and almost every time I tried it, voltage dropped and flashed the message. Checked all connections at harnesses and untied the harness so it wasn’t tight when turning and still volt drop. Starting to look like whole harness replacement
Looks like you have several different sensors reporting out of range values at the same time. My first suspicion would be a bad wiring harness. One of those messages even says there is a short.
