That doesn't surprise me ..... I'd have brought it to their attention .
I've even called the cat house's owner. Nothing pisses a service manager off more than a call from the dealership owner about a truck....
Best of luck.

I did bring it to their attention. Multiple times and ways. But, with out definite proof is hard to have a leg to stand on.
But, we have a game plan now, so we're going to start work on it tomorrow
Once we get it into the shop I'll take some pictures and post them here.
I'll probably start another thread to cover the O/H itself, just so people can watch and hopefully learn.rollin coal, SAR and Cat sdp Thank this. -
Well, here's the block after having the counter bores recut. We got the jugs in and torqued down last night. Today, I'll be cleaning of the new head and the oil pan.
I'll take some pictures of the old cam to show the damage to it once I get back to the shop in a few.Attached Files:

WOW that cam is all beat up.
Where is that rust from? Was that present from the second it was opened up or did that happen after opening up the engine. -
The rust is from after it was opened up

How many miles on the head and cam?

I'm not sure, I'd have to go back into the history, but maybe 100k
