Engine fan air line snapped inside housing

    Chainsaw file is usually my go to for broken grease fittings in u-joints. Regular easy outs are usually too short.

    Might have to trim the square part a bit. You don't want the file going too deep into the hole if you don't know what's in there.

    Don't know what engine OP has?
    First truck had a Cummins and required air to disengage fan. Present 3406E requires air to engage fan.
    Always thought the Cummins was safer setup?

    Just some numbers with regard to the fan staying on all the time:

    Fan solenoid switch working, running I-10, 76K lbs, running 70 mph, 5.9 mpg
    Fan on continuously, 76K lbs, running hills in AL, 70 mph, 5.8 mpg
    Tug Toy was right on the money, hardly noticeable difference in mpg.
