Without a code, its anyone's guess. If its on, there's a fault. You will probably need a computer hooked up to tell you.

Too frequent regens is a major problem. You've got issues that need to be addressed.

To reset just the engine light next to the seat belt light on the Cummins ISX 15 . (1) Turn off all parasitic loads. (2) Turn engine off , (3) then wait a few minutes for cpu to reset. (4) Next, most important, turn key on to the right one notch , do not start engine, wait until all other system check lights on dash go out ,then immediately cycle key OFF THEN ON 5 more times within 30 seconds from the initial key on.

You paid him and he never told you what the light was on for? He could have at least give you the SPN number that is causing the engine light to be on. I agree with AmodelCat, the engine shouldn’t regenerate frequently. Is it using too much oil? If it is , this will cause it to regen and eventually knock out your after treatment system.
