No Hi Jack going on here SIR!!!!! Just wishful thinking on your part. Otter than that , just typical new guy questions.
Boogers, on the parking deal. something to think about in your decision to back or pull head in. How tired am I? How confidant am I in my backing skills? How easy is it to set up a back? Are there any 3 or 4 empty spots in a row to get some practice in with virtually zero risk to other trucks? Is my potential pull head in spot on an aisle?(meaning when I pullout will there likely be parked trucks behind me?) Will my trailer block anyone elses access in or out of a spot?
Excercise YOUR best judgement for YOUR truck being mindful of others too.

Thanks for reminding me. I have not drained the water out of the water catching ..thing..lol. ( I forget what it's called, but my trainer showed me how to do it.)
I does act like it might be water in the fuel....cause the engine runs strong otherwise ( well, as strong as a 300 hp Detroit with 750k miles on it, can run, anyways ) -
When you get to an OC ask the shop for an extra filter. And watch them change it out. -
Almost always in the higher gears !

Sometimes us refr drivers will pull in head first:
1) when it is guaranteed that we can back out at any time
2) to keep the running refr unit farther away from the cabs of those complaining drivers that can not sleep next to one starting and stopping then doing the super loud defrost cycle at 2 am for what seems like a half hour.

I usually nose into my space if it's going to be EASY to back out in the morning. I like to get away from all the lot lights, noise from the trucks running next to me and all the other trucks driving laps around the lot hoping and praying that a space has magically opened up.

Sometimes nosing in is cool. There's a truckstop off 787 in Albany, NY that sits right on the Hudson river. So, you can either back in and get a great view of the
parking lot and glare from the fuel island, or you can nose in and watch the river go by. (Gee that's a hard one).
Just be a little careful that youve got plenty of room to back straight out in the morning. That could be a lousy way to start the day.Boogers Thanks this. -
Another reason mentioned above...
Leave that trailer out front for rookies to back into, not the fender of your cab!

I had the same problem with my 2006 DD series 60 engine. It was my EGR freezing up on me when turbo would try to kick in. Look for soot by your turbo.
Boogers Thanks this.
