Well I tell ya, there's no cure in a bottle that's going to stop a oil leak at a rate of 2gallons a week. Clean the engine then run it to find the leak. Then fix it right. Not to mention the mess that's accumulating under your truck from front to back.
Tug Toy, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Dorsey and 1 other person Thank this. -
Where's it leaking from. There is no cure in a bottle, but depending on where it's from will dictate how difficult or how much it'll be. I paid $800 for a new oil cooler and seals last year. My new mechanic quoted me 750 to pull the bell housing and seal up the rear. I got the diamond seal done for $250.

Stop leak is not a good thing to be dumping in anything, from what I was told it is primarily brake fluid.

If they have the pan off anyway, have the check your bearingsguru2323 Thanks this. -
Oil pan gasket is not a hard fix, but I don't know what you're calling the plain housing.
